Precision Milling
At Xactra Technologies, our milling capability includes both vertical and horizontal milling. Most component manufacturers have only vertical milling technology. For complex components, you want the manufacturing method that will yield the best result at the best price.
If a component is best suited for horizontal milling, it might be possible to manufacture on a vertical machining center with multiple set up steps. But this method takes more time which translates to a higher end cost.
In addition to having both vertical and horizontal milling, Xactra Technologies also has integrated mill/turn equipment capability with true "articulating head" - B Axis milling. This enables us to mill features at virtually any angle as a function of the machine. The alternative is once again multiple set ups and higher cost for other manufacturers.
